An FDM printer during melt layering, ABS, PLA and co. are extruded through a heated nozzle, melting the material and building up the plastic layer by layer on the design platform.

Resin is a UV-curable liquid plastic material. These materials are used in stereolithography 3D printers. The liquid resin is exposed with the 3D printer at the desired locations with UV light, whereby the resin is cured. This technique makes it possible to produce components with a high level of detail.
